  2. History of Eurovision • A song contest for countries of Europe. • Artists perform live on TV. • Viewers call in to vote for their favorite. • The winner has to host the contest in their country the next year.

  3. Azerbaijan and Eurovision • Azerbaijan has been participating in the contest since 2008. • They won last year. The contest was held in Germany. • This year, Azerbaijan gets to host the contest.

  4. Armenia and Eurovision • Armenia has been participating in the song contest since 2006. • The highest they have placed is 4th in 2008. • This year they might not be able to participate. • Armenians are not allowed to go to Azerbaijan.
