  2. The government should impose a penalty on American companies that offshore jobs. • Status Quo = There is no penalty for companies with offshore jobs. • Illegal aliens should be able to obtain a US driver's license. • Status Quo: Illegal aliens cannot obtain a US driver’s license.

  3. It's wrong to eat meat. • Status Quo: Individuals decide if eating meat is okay. • Cell phones fees should based on text message usage. • Status Quo: Cell phone fees are prepaid or based on a plan.

  4. Gene therapy to increase a person's intelligence would be a good thing. • Status Quo: Gene therapy is not currently used. • The federal government should substantially increase public health services for mental health care • Status Quo: Mental health care is one of the lesser funded areas of health care.

  5. The U.S. legal driving age should be raised to 18 years old. • Status Quo: The legal driving age is currently 16 years old. • The Great Valley High School administration should permit soda machines in the cafeteria. • Status Quo: Soda machines have been removed from the building.
