This workshop by Gurdeep Parhar at UBC employs standardized patient scenarios to elevate medical students' awareness about Aboriginal racism and homophobia. The highly evaluated O-Week activity serves not only to introduce students to vital concepts of professionalism but also to familiarize them with available resources and support systems. Additionally, Linda Snell from McGill and Jason Frank from RCPSC present a literature review on competency-based medical education that supports its implementation, while also raising critical points needing further examination.
