Handing in the thesis – what to remember • Thesis must be handed in in six copies • Thesis must be written in English and have an accompanying abstract in Danish and English • Co-author statements. You are not allowed to defend your thesis if we haven’t received them • A statement from the main supervisor

  3. Handing in the thesis • Whenyouhand in yourthesisyouwillget a receipt • Whenyouhand in yourthesisyouremployment and enrolment as a ph.d.-student is terminated • Youareentitled to unemploymentbenefits from the worker’s union

Assessmentcommittee • Comprises three members: one from the department (chairman) two foreign • When the assessment committee has been approved by the dean you will notified by e-mail • In connection with this you will be asked to • Submit an abstract of your thesis maximum og 1 A4 page The abstract must be targeted journalists. (Popular science) • A library form for the public loan of your thesis • Must be handed in 3 week before the defense takes place

  7. Whathappens if… I don’thand in on time I haven’tcompleted all myteaching I want to change the title of mythesis I need an extension

I don’thand in on time • When the deadline is exceeded by onemonthwewill send a reminder • When the deadline is exceeded by twomonths and youhaven’treacted to ourfirst letter youwillbeexpelled • In case youareexpelled and youwant to hand in yourthesisyoumay have to pay 30.000,- DKR for the assessment

I haven’tcompleted all myteaching • It is the responsibility of the head of department and you to coordinateyourteaching • If your deadline is approaching and you have teachingleftsettle an appointmentwithyou head of department in due time • The scedule for teachingshouldalwaysbediscussed at youyearlyEmployeedevelopmentinterview (MUS)
