  1. Things to Do and See in Kangaroo Island Located at a short distance off the coast of South Australia in Adelaide, Kangaroo Island is well known for its pristine sand dunes, powder-white beaches, dense forest, exotic wild life and natural scenic beauty. The place is also known locally as KI. Don’t be confused by its name as the island will provide you opportunity to see the Kangaroos but it is also bursting with lots of different activities. Here, we are discussing the top things you can do and see in this beautiful Island. Seal Bay in the Conservation Park It is not easy to see the sea lions from a close range but in Kangaroo Island, you can enjoy seeing them just a few feet from you in their natural environment. Sea Bay is the third largest colony of Australian Sea lions where the visitors can watch the seals when they are frolicking on the beach and basking in the sun or swimming in the sea. It is highly recommended to book a guided tour down to the beach or you can watch them from a distance from a specially designed viewing platform. It is good to visit before 11 am or after 1pm for a less crowded experience. Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary The sanctuary is situated on the western end of Kangaroo Island, between Flinders Chase National Park and Kelly Hill Caves. Hanson Bay is known as a habitat for wallabies and kangaroos where you can see sleepy koalas on the high trees and spiky echidnas waddling on the ground. If you are at Kangaroo Island then you can’t afford to miss this place. Emu Bay Emu Bay is the only beach where you take your car. Despite the shared access, the beach remains immaculate and clean.
