The National Symposium on Canada’s Academic Health Sciences Centres, held on January 28-29, 2010, aimed to address the pressing challenges and opportunities facing Academic Health Sciences Centres (AHSCs) in Canada. Over 6.5 years in the making, this initiative highlighted the need for a comprehensive national review, the coordination of health reform initiatives, and strategies to optimize AHSC performance. The event brought together key stakeholders, including industry leaders and academic experts, to share insights, research findings, and promising implementation strategies to ensure the future efficacy of AHSCs.
