Exploring Ancient and Modern Perspectives on Sexuality and Relationships

This homework assignment delves into the representation of sexuality in media, arts, and culture. Investigate how ancient ideas of sexuality, such as those from the Pythagoreans, Cyrenaics, and Stoics, continue to influence contemporary perspectives. Reflect on whether modern society maintains a healthy attitude toward sexuality and relationships. Support your views with evidence from historical context, such as the Wolfenden Report and contemporary ethical discussions. Draw insights from Gareth Moore’s reflections on the evolution of sexual ethics, highlighting the shift from traditional religious views.
