Rube’s Stamper The A+ Team Project
Introducing The A+ Team • Emily Buckman • David Nguyen • Adam Tupis
Blade of Fury Overview • The marble starts from the platform. • It goes down the ramp and jumps into the tube. • This triggers the Guillotine—aka The Blade of Fury. • Which releases the stamp.
Stored Energy • Conservation of Energy Fishing weight: Potential => Kinetic • Conservation of Momentum (Collision) The fishing weight collides with the marble. The marble collides with the washer. • Projectile Motion The marble is launched into the tube.
Building Problems • Projectile Motion • Getting the marble to land in the tube • Trigger • Having the marble knock the washer off • Wedge • Attaching the wedge to the stamper
Conclusion • For the most part, we kept the original design. • Our materials were brought to you by: • Home Depot • Hobby Lobby • Wal-mart • Emily’s Dad • The Time It Took • Conceptualizing: 1 ½ hours • Obtaining materials: 3 hours • Built time: 5 ½ hours • Having Fun in class: timeless
