  3. Document Window • Displays the work area for keying text • The blinking insertion point is the location where your text appears when you type

  7. Title Bar • Identifies filename and program • Usually dark blue when window is active • Document1 -- the default title of a document until the document is named and saved

  9. Program Control Shortcuts • Located at the right side of the title bar • Minimize • Removes the program from the screen without closing it • Reduces the window to a button on the Task Bar Minimize

  10. Program Control Shortcuts • Maximize / Restore – a toggle button • Maximize - the document window is made as large as the screen • Restore – reduces the size of the document window • Multiple screens can be seen on window • Edge of Desktop visible. Maximize / Restore Minimize
