  13. e-mail (4.12.2006) from Alan Mccaffery Dear Karl-Heinz, Andy, Phil, Next year, IRAC will hold it's annual Spring face-to-face meeting at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden, UK on 19-20 April, immediately following the 'Resistance 2007' conference. I understand from the R2007 organisers that you are also going to have a FRAC meeting on the 19th. Indeed, I believe we are in adjacent rooms upstairs in the Rothamsted Conference Centre! It looks like a great opportunity to meet up for at least a short while. Our IRAC meeting programme is not yet fixed, but we are planning to use the first morning (19th) for a session to overview and discuss key IRAC activity areas (Crop Protection, Biotechnology and Public Health) with invited guests. Towards the end of the morning we suggest it might be good to get togther with yourselves and any interested parties for say 45 minutes for a joint FRAC/IRAC session where we might overview activities of mutual interest and explore opportunities for joint cooperation and communication. We had the idea that this could be followed by a FRAC/IRAC sponsored lunch (maybe with interested parties and invited guests as appropriate), where we could continue the discussions, and finishing say 2pm. Clearly this might not fit with your plans, but if it does sound interesting to you do let us know (Alan Porter and I are working on our agenda) we can work on the idea.
