  14. The town of Dobrich is situated in Northeast Bulgaria and the administrative centre of Dobrich Province. Dobrich is the eighth most populated town in Bulgaria (100 000), is located 30 km west of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, not far from resorts such as Albena, Golden Sands and Balchic, lying about 50 km from the second biggest town in Bulgaria- Varna, The town is known as the ‘capital’ of the fertile land of Dobrudzha, the biggest grain-growing region of the country. The Ethnographical Complex is aimed at preserving, giving a sense and showing the architecture, the life and the economical past of the town at the end of 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century. Sixteen artisan’s workshops have been restored. Here folk masters, by means of original instruments produce works of high artistic value, using authentic models and old technics. The visitors have the possibility to acquaint themselves with the production processes of every trade. One of the most picturesque parts and main tourist attraction in Dobrich is the restored old town and the clock tower located close to the central square. Old Dobrich

Оn the area of the Complex operate: a pastry-shop /where boza is served/, a bakery for pretzels, a wine-shop, a coffee-house and a souvenir-shop, where to our foreign quests artisan’s works in National style are offered: cardigans, motley wool socks, Dobrudja’s cushions and bags of pure wool, cotton towels, Lady’s and gentleman’s sleeveless fur-coats, fur-caps, folk instruments, etc. The visitors of the complex can watch the manufacturing process of traditional Bulgarian crafts - tailoring, knitting, wood turnery, goldsmith's craft, etc. An attraction for the visitors is the opportunity to participate in the making of pottery, to visit the cafe and taste the traditional white jam, millet-ale and the whine with exclusive gustatory qualities.   18. The existing exposition in the museum follows the life and the creative work of Y. Yovkov. The visitors have the opportunity of seeing photos, documents, manuscripts, books, and some private things, which belong to the author. The room, where he has been working during the last few years of his life is also exposed. House-Museum "Yordan Yovkov"

  19. The Art Gallery - Dobrich is in possession of over 1700 paintings created from the beginning of the XX century to nowadays, except of one work from the XVII century painted by a French artist. A great part of the works is thematically devoted to the Dobrudzha region. The Art Gallery

  20. It was built in 1843. It was burnt down during the Crimean War (1853-1856) and was restored in 1868. The three-nave church is well preserved up to day.
