  2. BACKGROUND The Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Tariff Regime Issuance of Executive Order 61 (s. 2011) Comprehensive Tariff Review 2016 (CTR 2016)

  3. OBJECTIVES Set the MFN tariff schedule for 2016 onwards; Simplify the tariff structure for ease of implementation/trade facilitation; Continue to implement a tariff rationalization plan aimed at boosting global competitiveness;

  4. Design economic measures and policy guidelines consistent with the promotion of domestic industries; Support the Philippine Development Plan goals of poverty reduction in multiple dimensions and massive quality employment creation
