Today, however, approachesto risk basedfloodmanagement plan areadoptedandprojectsaregenerated in accordancewiththisaim. • Geologicfieldsurveys, PreparingGuidelinesforIntegratedDisasterHazardand Risk Maps Project andCapacityBuildingtoImplementtheFlood Directive Projectsareconstituted in thesamedirectionandtheircommonpurpose is toreducetheadverseconsequencesof disasters, floodeventsandfloodlosses. Measuresto be takenforpotentialfloodsshow a risk-basedapproach in AFAD andTurkeydifferentfrommost of theothercountries in the World. • Because of WCDRRs a wide platform ouraim is toreach a wideaudiencetoemphasisethegrowingnumber of floodhazards in the World andTurkeyandpresentourstudiesandtoprovidecasestudiesforothercountries. • DisasterandEmergency Management Presidency is opentocooperate on allkind of studiesaboutfloodandotherdisasters.
