  4. This week’s Marketing Get influential people to encourage events hosting on our app SJTU WU HUST Tsinghua Contacted 4 people. Student Union Leader to help broadcast app. 3 influential people to get existing events hosts to host on our app. Maintained contact with initial batch of test users including many from the student union. Contacted 5 events hosts directly to request them to host on our app. Obtained 3 influential people in Student Union. Assist in contacting hosts of new events to post events on our app.

  5. User Feedback HUST Tsinghua SJTU WU Problem: Many events but no interest to host on our app. Reasons: Server down twice in 2 weeks. Initial events hosts not active on renren.com. Not enough users on our app. Problem: Few events, but none hosted on our app. Reasons: Not sure what can be posted on our app. Not enough users on our app.

  7. Partnership renren :current social channel our app is running on. App store is approved, app homepage is approved, and user data analysis tool is provided. InfoBox : new start-up working on campus lectures. Would like to cooperate with our app. palmap :start-up in professional online map. Willing to offer us detailed free campus maps. Lashou : largest Groupon-like company in China. Have connection, but need to have more users to be impressive.

Next week’s marketing Monetary Incentives Tsinghua (Beijing) Considerations Proposed System Sponsoring 1RMB per person RSVPed to any event held on our app Cap of 500RMB per event ($80) Valid for events till 5th March (2 weeks) Assume a user RSVPs to 5 events within 2 weeks, user acquisition of 5RMB ($0.80) Test with one college to see if there is noticeable differences in results using virality tests. System of incentives important, need to distinguish between small and large student bodies.
