  2. Day 1 In a paragraph, give examples of what makes your book a realistic fiction. Be sure to explain why your example could happen in the real world.

  3. Day 2 In a paragraph, describe the main character. In your paragraph you should mention how they look, feel, act or think. Use specific examples to back up your statements.

  4. Day 3 In a paragraph, make a comparison to yourself and the main character in the book. State one thing that you have in common and give specific examples.

  5. Day 4 In a paragraph, make a connection with your book. Be sure to state what the connection is and give examples to back up your statements.

  6. Day 5 In a paragraph, describe the problem and events in the story. Use specific examples and events to prove what the story’s problem is.

  7. Day 6 In a paragraph, state who is telling the story and describe how you know. Use specific examples to back up your statements and add details to make your writing interesting.

  8. Day 7 In a paragraph, state how the book is making you feel. Describe your feelings and tell us why you are having them. Use specific examples from the book to back up your statements.

  9. Day 8 In a paragraph, compare and contrast two characters from your book. Give specific examples to show what the characters have in common and what makes them different.

  10. Day 9 In a paragraph, describe what you think the author’s message is. Explain how the author shows their message as the characters deal with the story’s problem(s). Use specific examples to back up your statements.

  11. Day 10 In a paragraph, describe what the story is about and then state what it reminds you of (connection). Use specific details from the story to back up your statements.

  12. Day 11 In a paragraph, pretend you are the main character in the story. From their voice, explain what you are feeling and thinking. Use specific details from the story to back up your statements.

  13. Day 12 In a paragraph, state how one of the characters in the book has changed since the beginning of the story. Use specific examples to back up your statements.

  14. Day 13 In a paragraph, give a complete summary of your book that states the books major problem and how it was resolved. Use specific events from the story in your summary and add details to make your writing interesting.

  15. Day 14 Write a book review for the realistic fiction book you just read. In your paragraph, state whether you would or would not recommend this book and why. Use specific details and examples from the book to back up your statements.
