Energy optimisationin cluster based wireless Ad-Hoc networks Project guide Asst.Prof(Sr) T.Shankar I.V.L Raghavendra (08BEC134)
Aim of the project Energy efficiency continues to be the key factor in limiting the deployability of Ad-Hoc networks. The aim of the project is to propose an algorithm such that overall energy of the Ad-Hoc network is being optimised and thereby increasing the lifetime of the network.
An Ad-Hoc network is a self configuring infrastructure-less network where nodes, connected by wireless links can move freely and thus topology of the network changes consistently. Ad-Hoc network
Clustering of Ad-Hoc networks *Cluster head*
LEAD Algorithm • Dynamic selection of cluster heads among the set of nodes , allocation of rest of the ordinary nodes to cluster heads. • Selection and allocation is done according to the current status of the network. • Maximising the avg life time of the network is the objective of this algorithm .
From the literature survey, it has been drawn that * Life time of the network vsno.of nodes , LEAD outperforms ANDA,LID by 35% * Cluster head selection is according to the current residual energy .So, energy is equally drained in the network Why LEAD?
