  3. Volume by Displacement • Get the volume of an Irregular Object • Take a known volume of water • example 50 mL • Place the object in the water • Read the water level 80 mL • Subtract the smaller number from the larger number 80mL - 50mL = 30mL

  4. Mass • Amount of “stuff” in an object • The amount of matter in an object

  5. Density • The amount of matter in a given space • The amount of “stuff” in an area • No way to measure it • Must be calculated • Mass / Volume • g/mL or g/cm3
