  1. Our Most Recent Initiatives • Got (empty) energy bar wrappers? • TerraCycle them here • Find the yellow cardboard box in the Crane

  2. And most importantly… • Meet at BT HS Entrance • You all should come! • Click “going” on Facebook (NOT MAYBE!) • We need to know who is coming so that I can assign you all different areas of the building and community! First Annual BT Environmental Club & NHS Clean-up MAR 22 9-11 AM One week away!

  3. Why Bother? • The concern for the health of our waterways is increased • Wildlife suffers from large amounts of roadside trash • Public health becomes problematic; roadside trash allows bacteria to grow exponentially and poses a fire hazard • Large amounts of litter are demoralizing, and send out an unmotivated, uncaring signal to the community

  4. Preparation for Cleanup • Wear clothing that covers all of your skin. The areas we will be cleaning may have long grasses, tics, and poison ivy - be sure to wear long socks, pants, sleeves, etc. • Wear brightly colored clothing. • Bring water, work gloves, and a hat. • Wear closed toed shoes that protect your feet. • We will provide garbage bags, but if you would prefer to (reuse) old grocery bags, please bring them.

  5. Shabbat Shalom!
