  3. Characters • Gato: a kid that quits soccer because he could not play well , a soccer player, and a world cup winner. • Keeper: man with no face, soccer goal keeper teaching Gato about soccer, and man who lives in the woods.

  4. Conflict • Gato was being made fun of because he wasn't very good at soccer. Thereforehe decides to to quit playing.

  5. Summary • Gato is being made fun of by his friends about his soccer skills, so he decides to quit playing soccer for awhile. Then, he starts exploring the woods. This is where he meets the Keeper. Then, the Keeper starts teaching him about soccer.

  6. Theme • The theme is about a boy that plays soccer. 1. He was being made fun of because of his soccer skills. 2. The keeper is teaching himabout soccer. 3. He is holding the world cup.

  7. Point of view • The point of view is told from third person perspective. Although most of the story is told as dialogue between Gato and the interviewer, the story is told from a narrator. • It helps the reader understand the general idea of every characters actions.

  8. Symbolism The keeper is the main symbolic figure in the novel. The keeper represents Gato’s struggle and hidden passion to acquire better soccer skills.

  9. Recommendation • I recommend reading this book. Because It has some interesting things in the book. Especially if you like soccer.
