TGGS Oxbridge Policy • Ethos: ‘Dare to be wise’ • Three way ‘selection’: students, staff, parents • Not for everyone: ‘better’/other Universities & Courses (e.g. Dentistry) – individual student key • Professional preparation/attitude vital:’: seminars, mentoring, reading & research • Philosophical but reflective about outcome …

(B) Delegate feedback – True or False?! • Candidates need at least eight GCSE A*sto get into Oxbridge • It is possible to get an Interview at Oxbridge with only one A* at GCSE • Strategic decisions regarding choice of Subject & College can still increase a student’s chance of Oxbridge success • A very strong BMAT or LNAT performance can compensate for ‘indifferent’ GCSE or AS grades • A student who achieves UMS scores of 90% plus in at least one relevant AS subject will increase their chances of Oxbridge success
