  1. Inside-Outside Circle Closing Activity Facilitated by Marianne Kenneyadapted from work of Rebecca Marques-Guerrero • Everyone stand up and form a large circle.

  2. Number Off • Tallest person in the circle raise your hand. This person will be number one. Count off in 2’s (1,2,1,2,etc.) going clockwise around the circle. Stop when you get back to the tallest person. 1 2 1 1 2

  3. Number 1s, stay where you are. Number 2s, take one step inside the circle and turn around so that you are face to face with a person on the ‘outside’ circle.

  4. Does Everyone Have a Partner? • If you find you don’t have a partner, please raise your hand. • Look around the circle, does anyone else need a partner • If so, pair up. • If not, would one of the pairs in the circle please raise your hands and welcome the additional participant into your group.

  5. Let’s Talk About….. • People on the outside circle go first: • PLACE YOUR QUESTION HERE • You each have 45 seconds or 90 seconds total.

  6. Moving Along • Thank your partner. • The person in the inside circle will now move 2 people to her right. (groups of three- two people stay, one moves.) • Greet your new partner.

  7. Let’s Talk Some More About • The inside person goes first: • PLACE YOUR QUESTION HERE • Congratulate that person

  8. One More Move • Thank your partner. • The person in the outside circle will now move 3 people to her right. (groups of three- if you have not moved, it’s your turn) • Greet your new partner.

  9. Let’s Talk About…. • The person in the outside circle goes first: • PLACE YOUR QUESTION HERE

  10. Wrap up • Thank your partner • Return to your seat
