  2. Case Report • בת 12 שנים, בריאה בד"כ. • מזה כחודש כאב בטן עליונה, מלווה בצרבת, ללא בחילה או הקאה. • בדיקות הדם – ס"ד , ברזל, כימיה, סרולוגיה לצליאק תקינות . • US בטן תקין.

  3. Case Report • בגסטרוסקופיה - גסטריטיס נודולרית עם ארוזיות. HP שלילי.

  5. Collagenous Gastritis • A rare entity of unknown etiology. • Described in children and adults. • Defined histologically by the presence of a thickened ,focal, subepithelial collagen band with an increase in inflammatory cell infiltration of the lamina propria with entrapment of capillaries. • This histologic pattern is similar to that in collagenous colitis.

  6. Collagenous Gastritis • Presenting symptoms in children are UGI symptoms - epigastric pain, hematochezia, anemia , in adults - diarrhea. • The endoscopic findings in children are more impressive then in adults: erosive gastritis ,hemorrhage.

  7. Collagenous Gastritis • Therapy according to case reports only: gastric acid suppression, steroids, sulfasalazine ?? • Therapy did not have a consistent effect on the thickness of the collagen band, but improvement of the clinical picture was achieved.
