The SWWT proposes the creation of a new topical group focused on solar monitoring and indices. Open to all SWWT members, this group aims to facilitate regular email discussions on thematic projects, progress updates, and the promotion of ESA SWAPP activities within Europe and other communities. Key areas of focus include fundamental research on solar effects, ground and atmospheric influences, and educational outreach. A recent membership survey indicated strong interest among 104 participants from ESA member states and associates, signaling a need for active engagement in this crucial field.
