Humphrey Bogart’s my hero — I’ve seen every one of his films. heroine表示“女主角;女英雄”。 hero的形容词形式为heroic,意为“英雄的,英勇的”。 e.g. He was famed for heroic deeds during the war. ☆victimn.受害者;遇难者 e.g. The disease will carry off its victims in a few days. Four people were killed in the explosion, but police have not yet named the victims. victim的常用结构是:fall victim to,意为“成为……的牺牲品”。 e.g. He fell victim to a wasting disease. *femalen. 女子,女性 e.g. You don’t see many lone females walking around that area after dark. Females represent 40% of the country’s workforce. female也可作形容词用,表示“女性的;雌的”。 e.g. Do you agree that not being aggressive is a female characteristic? female的反义词为male。 chatting在本句中是现在分词作后置定语,相当于who is chatting。 e.g. There is John talking with his girlfriend.
