This report details the training and workshops conducted in Windhoek, Namibia, from April 10-13, 2006, focused on the Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH). The training aimed to enhance skills in biosafety risk assessment and facilitate the implementation of the BCH framework. Key challenges included power outages and the need for thorough preparation of case studies. Recommendations highlight the importance of stakeholder involvement, national ownership, and linking BCH to decision-making processes. Continuous support and mentoring post-training are essential for successful implementation.
