The Mental Health Commission • The Commission was established in 1996, partly through the recommendations of the Mason Report. • Initially, the Commission was set up for five years as a Committee of the Minister of Health. • Now, the Commission is an autonomous Crown entity under the Mental Health Commission Act 1998 (the Act). • The Mental Health Commission Amendment Act 2007 repealed the 2007 expiry date to its current status on 30 August 2015.

I know myself better now. I am healthier. I can do more. Whanaurecovery of wellbeing Community recovery of wellbeing I have resources, relationships and citizenship ( in the full sense). I feel like there is a place I belong and feel accepted. CULTURAL SOCIAL COMMUNITY WISDOM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
