Enhanced Content-Centric Routing with Ant Colony Optimization Techniques

This paper presents SoCCeR, an innovative approach to content-centric routing that employs Ant Colony Optimization to improve information gathering. It highlights the challenges faced in service invocation concerning state, CPU, and memory usage, emphasizing the necessity to minimize costly multiple invocations. By implementing informed routing decisions based on context factors like service load, latency, and bandwidth, SoCCeR enhances scalability and reduces overhead in centralized routing systems. Evaluated through simulations on CCNx, results show improved service execution efficiency and load balancing capabilities.
