  1. What is PMDD and How to treat it naturally? PMDD can lead to extreme mood swings, increase in appetite, sleep problems, etc. Practicing meditation and Yoga can help in handling PMDD naturally without the use of medications. Females all over the world are aware of the physical and emotional symptoms of PMS (premenstrual syndrome). PMS is a result of fluctuations in the sex hormones (estrogen and progesterone) in the body. There are feelings of irritability, fatigue, anxiety and depression before the periods are about to start. If things become a little extreme -- then the condition is termed to be PMDD (premenstrual dysmorphic disorder). PMDD is associated with conditions like severe mood swings, decreased interest in usual activities, fatigue, sleep problems, and change in appetite. These symptoms appear before a week or two from the starting time of our periods. A few specific brain cells use serotonin as a messenger and control our mood, attention, sleep and pain, and if there are changes in the serotonin level, the PMDD symptoms become visible. The doctor will be diagnosing the problem through a physical test and checking the medical history. Let us look at a few treatment options for dealing with the disorder: ● Mindful meditation helps in reducing the regular symptoms of PMDD which are anxiety and depression. It also helps in dealing with extreme pain that comes from menstrual cramps. Meditating allows one to focus on the present and teaches how to get distracted from uncomfortable situations. ● Taking a warm bath during the free hours from your daily routine can be helpful in easing down the symptoms of PMDD. One can also mix essential oils in the water for a soothing effect. After taking the bath, using a hot water bottle to keep the calming effect ongoing. ● Eating whole fresh foods helps in providing the body with required vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Apart from this, taking supplements also help in treating the symptoms of PMDD. Calcium, Vitamin E, Vitamin B-6 and Magnesium supplements can be helpful in easing down soreness, bloating, fatigue, insomnia, etc. SOFY Women’s Sanitary NapkinEmail: customercare@unicharm.com Call us - +91 9971988339 Timing: 10:00 AM -5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

  2. ● Yoga, with the help of poses and meditation, helps in easing down the pain in the body and giving relaxation. Practicing yoga also helps women in becoming aware of the physical and emotional distress -- helping them to cope with such situations. One should also perform Pilates, walking and swimming to ease down the pain coming from cramps. ● Acupuncture proves to be helpful in dealing with the symptoms of PMDD. It helps in easing down pelvic pain, back pain, abdominal pain and headaches. ● Eating a healthy diet is of utmost importance before and during the periods. One should eat small meals to reduce bloating. Eating fruits, vegetables and complex carbs over other foods is recommended to make the PMDD phase bearable. After one has dealt with the premenstrual phase, striding through the periods smoothly becomes the next goal. Girls should use menstrual tampons as it allows you to stroll around in fashionable clothes with confidence. Using sanitary napkins towards the end of the menstruation phase will help in soaking up the mild blood flow. A tampon brand should be chosen after considering the absorption capacity and the quality of the product. Tampons price is not very higher in markets so one can easily purchase the product from nearby pharmacist or from ecommerce platforms.
