  2. Charles was known as an American cartoonist. He was famous for his drawings of the cartoon serious Charlie Brown

  3. Charles was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in saint Paul. • He was an only child. • Charles loved to draw as a young child he mostly drew the family dog.

  4. Influences • Charles had many influences all of which were other cartoonist including: • Milton Caniff (Terry and the Pirates) • George Herriman (Krazy cat) • Roy Crane (Wash Tubbs) • Elzie Segar (Thimble Theater) • Percy Crosby (Skippy)

  5. Adult Life • Charles Then married Joyce Halverson and having four Children. • He also received his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame • Charles died in his home on February 12, 2000.
