  2. WELCOME! • Thanks for joining us for another amazing semester. We look forward to getting to know each of you! • But first, let’s re-introduce our Executive Board. • Nickelle Smith, President • Meghan Pryce, Vice President • Peta-Gay Sheerwood, Treasurer • Ann-MakirMagloire, Historian • Rochelle Alleyne, Secretary • Don’t forget to “Like” UFNABJ on Facebook and to “Follow” us on Twitter! You can submit you ideas for #hottopics there.

  3. Member Contracts • Remember • To be an “official member” of UFNABJ • You must sign and agree to all terms in the contract • Members must be “active” • Seniors must be active through Spring • All other members should be continuously active • Pay your dues ($15) by October 30, 2013 • Attend at least 5 meetings per semester • Participate in Game Day concessions • ONLY Official members can: • Participate in Zion Buzz/Magazine • Be eligible to receive graduation cords • Run for executive office • Be sponsored for the National Convention • Put “membership” in NABJ on their resume • Any conflicts should be taken up with an E-board members • Questions?

Treasurer’s Report • Concessions  • Dates: • September 21, October 5, November 9, November 23, November 30 • Members need to submit background information (name, date of birth, phone number) in credential website ASAP despite working date.  • Important Credential Power Point. Open first link and follow directions provided. (Link will be sent out in the meeting minutes) • Job: Concessions  • Organization: Association of Black Communicators • Hit “submit”

(Always have questions!) • Stay Up on News • Current events of national importance • Current events in their coverage area/that’s they’re covering • Know the company • DO YOUR RESEARCH!! • Past Interviewing Day Participants • CNN, Miami Herald, Washington Post, WESH-TV, Home Magazine, UF and ShandsCommunications, etc.
