  3. SUMMARY OF THE PROBLEM (HB) • Many students struggle to go to school because they lack proper bags to carry their books in. This affects their education and willingness to go to school. By giving students backpacks they will be encouraged to go to school and not drop out; it will help them feel excited about school and get better grades. This increases their job potential.

  4. Two Approches for SoLuTION (FF) • How do we use both an online and offline strategy to fundraise $480,000 (15,000 backpacks x $32 per backpack) by August 2014? Strategy One: Online We will create a crowdfunding campaign to raise $50,000 to buy student backpacks by August 2014. This is the first fundraising step of our larger goal. Strategy Two: Offline fundraising

  5. SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSED SOLUTION (FF) Online • Create an online fundraising campaign on websites using both local and international crowdsourcing websites so people donate towards the total $600,000 goal (20 per backpack x 30,000 backpacks). Offline • Create a strategy so people can either donate treasure, talent, time or things. • To donate things like new backpacks or things that can be donated that go in the backpack. • To donate time to help fundraise, make calls, write letters, find sponsors, help with fundraising events. • To donate talent to help us with either the online or offline strategy.
