Comenius & Iceland

In October 2011, Ms. Fitzpatrick and Ms. Naughton led a Comenius project in Iceland, exploring the island's unique geography and culture. With a population of approximately 317,000, Iceland is a volcanic wonder featuring over 200 volcanoes, including geysers and stunning waterfalls like Gullfoss. The project connected schools from various countries, fostering international collaboration. Participants had the chance to experience Iceland's geothermal energy, visit the Blue Lagoon, and learn about the impact of glacial meltwater.
