  2. What is an Interactive lapbook? • An Interactive Lapbook is a manipulative. It is a book, without being a book. • Lapbooks are concise, informative additions to many learning experiences. They provide a lot of information in a contained, “easy to get through”, environment. • Students could read through a Lapbook that is prepared ahead of time, to learn about a topic. • Students could research and create their own Lapbook, either using templates to create minibooks, or by using supplied printable minibooks that are created for them.

  3. How does an Interactive Lapbook Work? Minibooks The Lapbook • Each lapbook is constructed with minibooks, which are manipulative printables that zero in on a specific theme, within the Lapbook. • The lapbook is created using file folders, which are glued together in various ways. • A lapbook can be as simple or elaborate as a person wants.

  4. Using an Interactive lapbook in Religious Education: There are many possibilities for a Lapbook in RE. They could be used in an adult Library, a youth library, a Spirit Play Atrium, as a summer curriculum for youth, or as a take home project for families to work through together. An RE program could have multiple Lapbooks on various topics and themes.
