As a parent, the best way to help support your child is to help them make the right decisions when it comes to revision • Establish a routine • Create a timetable that includes breaks • Test them on their knowledge from revision books • Encourage them to stick to it • Remind them of end goals • Check that they are completing the work set from the revision timetables given out by each teacher

  3. How to Revise… Think of a ‘session’ as a third of a day - it could be 3 to 4 hours long Many people find it helpful to revise for 2 out of the 3 sessions per day Here is a possible pattern: Day 2 Day 3 Day 1 Revise Revise Free MORNING Revise Revise AFTERNOON Free EVENING Free Revise Revise

  14. How to Revise… Just remember that, no matter when you revise, you need to go to bed at a sensible time and be able to get to sleep. It may be that you have to read a fiction book, watch television or have a bath before you go to bed to get a good night’s sleep
