Service which is very important • We can see these scenes around us like dumping of garbage, cleaning of drainage lines and toilets, sweeping the roads and lanes, collection of garbage from house to house in ghantagadi, emptying of large dustbins, loading of garbage in huge dumpers, burning of garbage.

4. Who does all this type of works? • There are people of a certain community who does all this type of work. They do this work since their great grandfathers times.. Or even before that. Most people of their community have been doing these jobs.. Even after getting a college degree, their people do not get any other kind of job, so they have to do this work.

5. Importance of these people and their services • Services given by these people are required by all of us to have a comfortable daily life. If these people do not come to work for 2-3 days our house and its surroundings become dirty which leads to the growth of diseases and sickness.

12. In our society people who do menial work have been regarded as lowly and are placed on the lowest level of the social ladder. • They do this kind of work to earn money. Their community or family has been doing this kind of work for years and are trained to do only this type of work. • They also do these type of work even after getting a college degree since they do not get other kind of job.

13. Great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Baba Amte, Anna Hajare and Mother Teresa did their work of cleaning, sweeping, gardening in many villages and build Ashrams. They also did the work of caring the sick and diseased people. They also worked for the socially backward people. They did all type of work without any shame or any hate.
