13. Predict and Infer • I can predict what happens as the dragon grows up. I can infer from the cover that the dragon is young at the beginning. I think that a dragon would be harder to raise as they get older.

23. Suffixes –y and -ly • A suffixes is added to the end of a base word. Carefully I rolled the egg into the cave. He did have a healthy appetite! -ly means “in a certain way” -y means “full of”
