HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: • 1997 year – The Team of Preschool • Institutions No. 1 in Olsztyn (T.P.I.): • - TheSpecialKindergarten No. 5 • - The Public Kindergarten No. 34; • 1998 year - branch for childrenwith • autisminThe Team of Preschool • Institutions No. 1 in Olsztyn; • 2000 year – establishingTheSocialPrimarySchool for ChildrenwithAutisminThe Team of PreschoolInstitutions

THREE EXISTING ASSOCIATIONS: Twoassociations of parents: Warmia and Mazury Association for ChildrenwithPhysicalDisability and CoupledDisabilityin Olsztyn; Association of Help for AutisticPeople and Peoplewithsimilardisordersin Development in Olsztyn; One association of teachers and workers of T.P.I. : Association of Support of Childrens’ Development in Olsztyn

Help from an earlyage: • CONSULTATION SECTION: • Consulting and Diagnostic Point for childrenwithdisabilities and theirfamiliesfrom Warmia and Mazury; • Organisingtherapeuticactivities for children and youngpeoplewithdisabilities; • Meetingswithpsychologists and otherspecialistsboth for children and parents; • Help and support for families;

THE SPECIAL AND INTEGRATION KINDERGARTEN • Childrenattendtheclasses and realisethepreschooleducationalissues; • Childrenpractiseactivities: • Speech therapy (using AAC – augmentive and alternativecommunication),  • Rehabilitation, • Otherkinds of therapy (e.g. individualrehabilitation, BioFeedbacktherapy, Tomatistherapy etc.) • Therearegroups for childrenwithautismintheSpecialKindergarten. Thespecialauthoring program called ,,Sunflower’’ isled for thesegroups.

  10. Additionaly, childrencanusethefollowingforms of assistance and activitiesinthekindergarten: • Psychological and pedagogical care; • Rhytmics; • Hydrotherapy; • Logo-music-tales-therapy; • Dogotherapy;

ThePrimarySchool No. 4 for ChildrenwithAutism and CoupledDisabilitiesand TheGrammarSchool No. 1 for ChildrenwithAutism, CoupledDisorders and MentalRetardationintheModerate and SevereDegree : • Thecombination of group classeswithindividuallessonswhichsupportindividual development of a student. • Studentscan benefit fromindividuallessons: • Speech therapy; • Rehabilitation; • Tomatistherapy, • Sensory integrationtherapy, • Biofeedbacktherapy • Otherclasses, e. g. alternativecommunicationclasses.
