  3. Demographics • Holy Family School is a member of the Archdiocese of Boston, servicing students from many surrounding towns on the South Shore

  4. Current STEM • PK – 6 computer classes • Shared iPads • Each faculty member has a personal iPad. • 25 iPads for student use to enrich curriculum. • Computer lab with 20 laptops and wireless printer and SMART Board. • Each classroom has a computer, printer and SMART Board for the teachers use. • Off site technical support trouble shooter. • On site tech team to trouble shoot minor issues.

  5. Obstacles • Money – this effects equipment and keeping the equipment updated and working. • Time – we have many rigorous classes and very little down time to implement more science and engineering. • Resources (outdated and intermittent wireless connection) • Professional Development for teachers.

  6. Gateway Project Goals • To learn, integrate and implement the newest science and technological practices for our students. • To network with other teachers to share ideas and strategies.
