  2. RF Introduction Registered in 2007 under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance to support underserved and less-privileged communities. Thematic Focus: 1. Skill Development: • Technical and Vocational Trainings for youth particularly rural females • Trained 2576 individuals in Gems Cutting, Polishing, Jewelry and Bead making • Completed 4 donor funded Projects 2. Early Childhood Development: • Customized programs for holistic development of children -1-8 years • Parental Education • Advocacy and Networking

VISION & MISSION Vision: To create a sustainable society for future generations Mission: To promote the holistic development of children (0-8 years) by providing essential ECD services at household and community level and to create lasting solutions to poverty by enhancing skills and value addition in local production with the partnership of local, national and international agencies

ECD IN PAKISTAN Policy Gaps: • No priority given to -1 to 3 years • Absence of Curriculum for -1 to 3 years Prevalent Practices in ECD • Existing ECD Programs targets age groups 3 years- Above (Misses first 1000 days of Life) • Lack of integration of health & nutrition components, well-being of mothers, responsive parenting, child rights and protection. • Absence of contextual ECD models • Cost-effectiveness of ECD

  13. ECD ON WHEELS ECD on Wheels is a pioneer innovative effort of Rupani Foundation that ensures the provision of cost-effective Early Childhood Development at the door step to the areas that do not have ECD services.

WAY FORWARD • Policy framework for -1 to 3 years age bracket • Formulation of -1 to 3 years National Curriculum ECD in Pakistan • Integration of health and nutrition in ECCE/ECD curriculum and practices • Introduction of cost-effective contextual, integrated and inclusive ECD approaches to ensure access and participation • Community ownership to increase their stake
