Evaluate the effectiveness of TWO management strategies that have been used to combat sediment build-up at the North Narrabeen Lagoon entrance. • Humans have affectively shaped the way we see Narrabeen lagoon today. •  They have had both a positive and negative impact on the lagoon. • The main development that the council has put in place is the retaining, rock seawall- • Positive impact: stops the lagoon shifting North • Negative Impact: makes the water travel faster causing rips and currents • Council must dredge the every 4 or 5 years- • Positive impact: allows tidal flow and keeps public happy as to not flooding • Negative impact: Benthic fauna lose habitat every time lagoon is dredged
