Acorn Class Trip To Weston Super Mare. At the aquarium we had a really interesting talk on sea creatures and rock pools. Rachel, our guide told us how impressed she was because we had waited so quietly until it was our turn for the talk.

We handled sharks eggs also known as mermaid’s purses. They felt hard and very tough. Rachel explained that if you find one on the beach you can check to see if there is a baby shark inside by holding it up to the light.
We also touched a real, live anemone. It felt like jelly! Some anemones can sting so you have to make sure you know which ones are safe to touch
We were all absolutely starving so we moved onto the beach for our picnic lunch.
Lydia running rings round mum with the ball! (This involved much giggling!)
Josh G and Bruno’s new method of playing cricket
Mrs Callow demonstrating one of her many talents! (she packed her football boots especially!)
The wind took the Frisbees almost into orbit.
Wishing we had more time to spend on the beach we packed away the games and headed off to the pier. Josh W couldn’t resist a bit of a dance to the music! Great moves Josh.
Finally time to head back to the coach, all still smiling after a brilliant day.
