  2. I PICKED-SOAP I picked soap because soap is made of lye, sodium, fats and oils. Soap helped back then by eliminating germs and helped to fight off diseases . The same way it still helps today.

  3. Who invented soap? • Michel Eugene Chevreul, a French chemist, was the first person to make soap from fats, oils, and sodium. The same method is used today with some make up changes. Although soaps existed before that, they did not resemble our current soaps.

  4. Year and location • Soap was invented in 1881. • It was invented in Babylonia Egypt.

  5. Where would soap be most useful? • Soap is used everywhere. Everyday it is used in hospitals , schools, restaurants, car washes etc. • Soap would probably be most useful if you were stranded on an island or in a poor populated state/country.

  6. SOCIAL • If you stink people would want to buy the product so they can smell good. • And if you smell good they still want to buy it because it makes you smell good.

  7. POLITICAL • The FDA regulates whether the item is approved or not by testing the product for things like allergens and harmful chemicals. • They FDA also regulates your product by continuing to inspect the product and the manufacture on a regular basis for safety and compliance.

  8. ECONOMICAL • Soap is universal, everyone can use it!!! I would sell it to all genders, races, and countries. • The cost can vary from a low to a high dollar cost depending on the ingredients and the social climate it is sold in prices range from 25C to 20.000!!!

  9. CULTURAL • Soap helps in my culture by keeping my town, my friends, and family clean and healthy! • My soap company financially supports my town by employing the people and paying taxes to the government.

  10. GEOGRAPHICAL • Soap can be used to aid in the clean up of oil spills in the oceans. • Soap can also be used as a lubricant when your are hiking or skiing and need something to help loosen rusted knives, or in place of wax for your skis.

  11. WRITTEN PORTION • I picked soap because soap is a versatile product that is used by many people. It is easy and inexpensive to make. You use basic tools and ingredients to make soap. You need a mixer, a plastic bowl, a mold, a mold tray, freezer wrapper, oils and lye. Lye can be very dangerous to work with; this is your only caution when making soap. Soap helps by eliminating germs, helps fight off diseases, cleans clothes, dishes, cars, and even animals. Soap still helps in that same way today. • To start a company you would need money to buy the ingredients to make the product. To obtain the money you could create a good business plan to bring to the bank or potential investors. You also need a good location to house your employees and your equipment to make the product. You need a good advertising strategy, such as a TV commercial. But most importantly you need a product that everyone can use and needs.
