This study investigates the enzymatic profiles of various Lactobacillus species through principal component analysis (PCA) of enzyme-coding EC numbers. The research focuses on strains such as Lactobacillus plantarum JDM1, WCFS1, ST-III, Lactobacillus gasseri, and others, analyzing their enzyme copy numbers to understand their metabolic capabilities. Insights from this PCA facilitate the determination of functional diversity among these species, emphasizing their potential roles in weight protection and gain.
