Legal Framework What is it? • The Legal Framework is a template in an electronic format that summarizes state and federal requirements for special education by topic. • Black—Document • “If it’s in black, it must be in black and white.” • Blue—Practice • “If it’s in blue, it’s something you must do.” Who uses it? • Administrators, Educators, Parents, Others

  4. When do you use the Legal Framework? • Anytime that a question arises Why use it? • Improve the quality of services • Provide accurate (real time) and accessible information
