  3. Eldest Son • Eldeston son of Guru Gobind Singh ji & Mata Gujri • Born in Poanta Saheb in 1687 • Trained as a soldier & horse rider • Religious education

  4. Sahebzada Ajit Singh ji • Family moved to Anandpur Saheb when he was only one year old • Took Amrit on the Vaisakhi of 1699 at 12 years of age • Fought various battles and won them • In 1700 fought the battle of Taragarh and Nirmogarh

  5. Sahebzada Jujhar Singh • He was the second son of Guru Gobind Singh ji • Born in Anandpur Saheb in 1691 • Also received religious education and was a great soldier • In 1699 took Amrit at 8 years of age

  6. Chamkaur Battle • In 1705 Mughal forces attacked Anandpur Saheb • Sahebzade Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh fought fearlessly • However the fort was seized from all sides • Mughal emperor played a trick and promised not to harm the sangat if the fort was vacated.

  7. Chamkaur Battle • Anand pur Saheb fort was vacated on the night of 3rd an 4th December • Sahebzada Ajit Singh was given the charge of the forces • However the innocent people were attacked by the Mughals

  8. Shaheedi • Sahebzada Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh crossed the river Sarsa along with a few soldiers. • They fought fearlessly with the enemy and finally both of them obtained shaheedi in that final battle at the age of 18 years and 14 years

  9. Sahebzade Zorawar Singh ji & Fateh Singh ji • They were Guru Gobind Singh ji’s third and fourth sons • They had also learnt gurbani at a young age • When the fort of Anand pur Saheb was vacated and the sangat atatacked Guru Gobind Singh ji asked his cook to take care of them along with their grand mother Mata Gujri ji

  10. Shaheedi • Gangu took them all to his house but later got bribed by the mughal forces and sent the younger Sahebzade to Sirhind in front of the mughal general • Both Sahebzade were asked to change their religion

  11. Tortures • The Sahebzade refused and kept on reciting gurbani • They were bricked alive … • A brick wall was made around them till they were buried in it • The gurdwara at Sirhind is called Gurdwara Fateh Garh Saheb
