The crisis is one of people not knowledge • Knowledge is not subject to crisis because it is abstracted from created reality and serves only as a means of descriptive communications that help man to order and direct power for social-environmental-spiritual benefit or harm; • Hence, it is the • Misuse - Abuse • non-use - neglect • Absence - Ignorance of knowledge that creates any crisis related to knowledge. • Misuseis Active Disobedience (Abuse) • DEVIATION FROM MAN’S RESPONSIBILITY as vice-gerent in the dunya --which is to enforce what is good and prevent what is evil ensurebenefit&preventharm) • Forbidden Knowledge : Magick / Sorcery scientific use of -- e.g., blowing on the knots is a scientific method involving beings and forces in nature (including samawat) producing harmful effects. • Non-use: PassiveDisobedience (Neglect) • Why?   3. SUB-CATEGORIES: All may be subdivided into Active or Passive Obedient(minority) & Disobedient sub-groups (majority) Believers (all Monotheists: eg. Native Americans) Non-Believers in Allah • Muslim Non-Muslim • Educated • Traditional • Sectarian • Non-Sectarian* • Secular, non-secular • Non-Traditional • Sectarian • Modern Materialist • Secular, non-secular • Non-Educated (Ignorant) *non-sectarian Muslim identifies only with the term ‘Muslim” • Christian • Jew • Pagan • Heathen • Atheist Each category has similar types of knowledge: (e.g., fitrah/instinctive) Andtypes that differ e.g., cultural, religious, social, scientific, rural vs. urban, geographic, etc. One may therefore be an obedient but misguided member of any category depending on knowledge

Al’Nur What Causes A Knowledge Crisis ? • Man’s inability to utilize or obtain trustful knowledge: • Too much (man is overwhelmed = confusion) • Too little (man is ignorant) • Poor Education (man is ignorant) • Lack of Access (man is ignorant) • Poverty / Insufficient time • Purposely Misdirected or limited Education (man is ignorant) • BIAS = wrong knowledge • Belief in lies (man is ignorant) • Lack of effective or truthful communication: All is Education • Cultural, Political, Religious, Racial apartheid / illiteracy / poor skills / (man is ignorant) • LACK OF JUST LEADERSHIP • Disobedience • Poor Teaching • Apathy • Injustice • Conspiracy • e.g. Fabian / Ishmai’ili / Catholic Dark Age of Europe • Sectarianism (Asabiyah) • Poverty, Bias, Neglect, Oppression Ignorance Prevails Administration of justice is the only genuineuniting factor for such diversity amana Prophet’s Point of Departure

Examples in the Energy IndustryCrisis Causes Ignorance  lack of discernment • NUCLEAR ENERGY • Waste disposal • Cancer • Environmental Destruction • (e.g. Fukushima) • Oil Industry • Gulf of Mexico (BP) • Pollution • Sea Life Dying • Coastal Population Poisoned • MISPLACED TRUST • Wrong information (Pride) • Failure to Disclose (Lies & Pride) • Apathy (laziness, lack of diligence) • Greed (Selfishness = sunnah of Khabil) • Government Collusion • (wickedness in high places) • Non-Accountability • NoHisbah(Negligence) • No Shura All is the result of Disobedience which causes HARM. Harm is the result of any Crisis in Knowledge Mohammad: The Trusted One (Amana)

Examples in the Medical IndustryCrisis Causes (No Synthesis of Knowledge) • Misplaced Trust: Authoritarianism • Greed: Doctors & Pharm. etc. Industry /Eugenics • Failure to Disclose (lies & liars) • Bad Science • Apathy • Taqlid(Blind Following) • A type of ignorance • Misplaced Trust • Eugenics = example of • wrong idea (ideal) • Humanism • Social Darwinism • Social Engineering DISOBEDIENCE TO DIVINE LAW • Lobotomy / Pandemic Mental Health Disease • Iatrogenic Disease • Overmedication • Ignorant, lazy or incompetent doctors • Lazy Patients: just want a ‘pill’ mentality • ADHD / Autism / HIV • Immunizations (example of taqlid) • Auto-Immune Disease • Immunizations NWO FASCISM Ummah blindly following Ignorance & Poor or Corrupt leadership (including teachers)  taqlid = a form of apathy

  7. The Crisis of Misplaced Trust (Amana) • The West has shown a frightening capacity for irrational behavior and fascination for violence and irrational ideologies. In short, the West, despite its extraordinary achievements in science and technology, intellectual capacity and civilization, is fragile and perishable because its moral and ethical values are designed from reason and logic without the involvement of The Greatest Spiritual Source of truth, God[Divine Revelation]. Hence: The West Cannot be trusted as vice-gerent • Trust is the most basic component of beneficial human relationship. • The most important moral principles that helped Muslims develop and enhance Islamic Science were • trust (al-Amanah), • justice (al-adl), • righteousness (al-birr) and • enjoining virtues and forbidding evil (al-‘amrbilma’rufwa al-nahy ‘an al—munkar). • Prof. CemilAkdogan, ISTAC, IIUM •  Dar Ul’Islamin balance Trust Justice - al-adl Righteousness - al-birr Enforcement - Al’Hisbah Human Relations

Greatest Knowledge Crisis Surah Al Kahf and the Modern Age Sheikh Imran Hosein • Knowledge comes through two sources. • the first source is known as ‘ilm al-Zāhir, and is based on empirical knowledge and rational enquiry. • includes scientific knowledge, • is finite and limited. • the second source is known as • ‘ilm al-Bātininternal intuitive spiritual knowledge that also may be known as religious experience. • It is spiritually communicated to an individual and originates in a dimension of reality which transcends material reality. (samawat) • usually comes in the form of intuitive thought,but it can also be • communicated through true dreams or visions as a gift from Allah Most High. Such knowledge is infinite, inexhaustible, and timeless. Greatest Problems ? • Imbalance • too much religion • too much materialism • no Shura • No one qualified for synthesis ?
