Graduation Requirements Class of 2015 • Required Credits: 24 • English 4.0 • Math 4.0 • Science 3.0 • Social Science 3.0 • Practical/Performing Art 1.0 • HOPE 1.0 • Elective Credits 8.0 • Earn a 2.0 unweighted GPA • Complete one on-line course • Testing Requirements: • Pass the 10th Grade FCAT • Pass Algebra I EOC • Take Geometry EOC
Graduating with Scholar Designation • Complete Standard Diploma requirements and: • Math: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Statistics or an equally rigorous course • Science: must pass Biology EOC, 1 credit in chemistry or physics. 1 credit in a course = rigorous to chemistry or physics. • Social Studies: Pass U.S. History EOC (Even if you have passed the AP U.S. History exam you must take and pass the U.S. History EOC) • Foreign Language: 2 credits same foreign language

College Application Process Select up to 5 colleges and visit websites to obtain college application procedures-most colleges require/prefer online applications. Get Started on college visits now. You should begin the application process this summer. Update your resume. Teachers and counselors require a resume in order to write a letter of recommendation. Complete a form through data entry to request an official transcript for each college application. Once an official transcript has been sent to a college, NO SCHEDULES WILL BE CHANGED

Registering for the SAT/ACT Preparing for SAT/ACT tests is essential. Remember to include the GCHS Code when registering for the SAT/ACT : 101540 Included in your registration fee you may send your score report to four colleges. After you test there is a $10.00 charge for each score report.
Out of State and Applications • Some colleges are using Send.edu applications • Common Applications • The “Common App” (CommonApp.org) is currently accepted by over 450 colleges and universities; many of these are private schools. The idea was to make the admissions process more uniform and save students time in entering the same information over and over. • Boston University, University of Michigan etc.
