ScholarWorks at WMU serves as a vital platform for showcasing the scholarly and creative work of faculty, students, and staff. It facilitates scholarly communication, preserves research, and ensures long-term access to published articles, conference papers, technical reports, and creative projects. By digitizing past publications and enabling online submission and review processes, ScholarWorks supports open access and subscription management for new journals. With significant downloads and a growing collection, it highlights the academic endeavors at WMU and fosters community engagement and outreach.

Journals Digitized back to 1960, 174,000 downloads • Online platform • Online paper submission and review process • Open access or manage subscriptions • Start a new journal – 4 up, more in the works • Digitize an old journal • $1500 one time set-up fee Fall 2012 & Winter 2013, 3,800 downloads Begun April 2012, 2 issues, 3,300 downloads New journals from English and World Languages
