  3. Hypocrites Circle • 30 Eighth Grade Students/semester • 6 Middle Schools • 10 Physicians • 4 meetings • Priceless

  4. Teen Volunteer Program • 14 to 17 years old • 86 current volunteers • 5-10 units of high school credits available • 100% placement in areas of interest • Corona, Jurupa, Alvord, Norco school districts

  5. Health Academy—La Sierra High School • 4 year program at the high school • 2nd Semester-Senior year at RMC • Clinical work experience in area of interest • 2 hour shifts daily

  6. K.P. L.A.U.N.C.H. Summer Youth Employment • Status: Temporary, Hourly, Non-Benefited Employees • 8 Week program • Full Time 40 Hours / week • Part Time 20 Hours / week • One-- 4 hour Education Day • Pay Checks – Every 2 weeks • Exposure to careers in Healthcare

  10. College Volunteer Program • College students from all over Riverside and Orange County participate • 50 – 60 college volunteers • 100% placement in area of interest • Pharmacy and Information Technology included

  11. Putting it all Together • First steps to rewarding career in Health Care • Provide practical background/support • Paid work experience programs • Exposure to wide variety of jobs • Develops a culturally responsive health care community
