  2. The Facts: In North America • 44,000 people die annually of infections from drug-resistant germs. • Listeria: 2,500 infections and 500 deaths annually. • Salmonella: 40,000 infections and 600 deaths annually. • E. coli: 73 infections and 61 deaths annually. • 31% of all patients leaving the hospital have to go back and be treated for infections that they got while at the hospital (Tommy Thompson, former Secretary of Health and Human Services). In The Hospital • 2,000,000 PATIENTS in the U.S. become infected each year while hospitalized. • 100,000 patients a year die as a result of their infection (population of Green Bay). • More than 70% of the bacteria causing these infections are resistant to antibiotics. • Cost of hospital acquired infections: $29 Billion in the U.S. each year! 1

  3. The Solution!Silver Dihydrogen Citrate – Ionic Silver Technology Old … Silver has been used for thousands of years, as far back as ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome where the primary application was to disinfect water by placing silver bars in the aqua ducts. New … Silver Dihydrogen Citrate is revolutionary technology…stabilized Ionic Silver in a tasteless, odorless and colorless non-toxic liquid with superb efficacy against bacteria, fungi and viruses. 2

  4. Solid Silver - Used for thousands of years to inhibit bacteria - Primary for water and wound care Colloidal Silver - Smaller and more efficacious than Bar Silver - Abused by MLM Marketers during the 80’s & early 90’s - FDA – aggressive position against MLM’s Ionic Silver – Electrically Generated (Non-Stabilized) - Smaller and more efficacious than Colloidal Silver - Requires electrical current to maintain stability - Used in pools and other re-circulating systems Silver Dihydrogen Citrate – Germ Control24 Silver Formula - Completely Stabilized - The efficacy of Electrically Generated Ionic Silver without the cord Silver’s Evolution 3

  5. SDC Dual Modes of Action Silver dihydrogen citrate’s rapid and broad spectrum efficacy is largely attributed to its dual mechanisms of action and unique characteristics. These two mechanisms, alone or in combination, make SDC a powerful antimicrobial while mitigating microbial resistance. Unlike traditional antimicrobials, bacteria are actually attracted to SDC because they recognize citric acid as a food source. This “Trojan Horse” attack allows SDC to easily enter the microorganism through membrane transport proteins. Once inside the organism, SDC binds to DNA and intracellular proteins causing irreversible damage to the DNA and protein structure. Metabolic and reproductive functions halt, and the organism dies. SDC can also act on an organism’s outer membrane. Silver ions are highly attracted to sulfur-containing thiol groups found in metabolic and structural proteins bound to the membrane surface. SDC targets these critical proteins and destroys their structure. This disruption of the organisms membrane function and integrity, lyses the membrane and the organism dies. Regardless of the type of kill mechanism, surplus SDC provides residual protection. 5

  6. 24 Hour Residual Antimicrobial Activity Odorless Colorless Safe, Non-Toxic Non-Corrosive to Metals Broad Spectrum of Efficacy Does Not Induce Bacterial Resistance Benefits of Germ Control24 Silver Formula 6

  7. Germ Control24 Silver FormulaMechanism of Action – Dry Surface • The “Silver Bullet” to this Ongoing Dilemma • Biocidial Activity • Even at incidental levels, microbes are transported by means that have enough inherent moisture to react with Germ Control24 Silver Formula treated surface. 7

  8. Patents and Worldwide Marketing Rights Four Issued Patents #6,197,814 (March, 2001) #6,583,176 (June, 2003) #6,890,953 (May, 2005) #7,261,905 (August, 2007) 70+ countries received or in process Multiple application/use patents filed Germ Control24 Silver FormulaIntellectual Property 8

  9. Goal Verify Germ Control24 Silver Formula disinfectant activity against standard indicator organisms. Germ Control24 Silver Formula was tested against: Staphylococcus aureus ATCC #6538, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC# 15442 Salmonella choleraesius ATCC# 10708 In the presence of 5% organic load AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions AOAC Carrier ConfirmationStandard Indicator Organisms Final Result Germ Control24 Silver Formula demonstrated complete disinfection in 30 seconds. 9

  10. Goal To verify the disinfectant efficacy of Germ Control24 Silver Formula against additional organisms. Germ Control24 Silver Formula was tested against the following organisms Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) ATCC# 700698 – Methicillin Resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE) ATCC# 700221 – Vancomycin Resistant Listeria monocytogenes ATCC# 19111 Escherichia coli OH157 ATCC# 43888 Testing performed under worst case conditions (5% organic load) AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions AOAC Carrier Confirmation Additional Organisms Final Result • MRSA – 99.9999% kill in 2 minutes • VRE – 99.9999% kill in 2 minutes • Listeria – 99.9999% kill in 30 seconds • E. coli – 99.9999% kill in 2 minutes 10

  11. Goal To verify the fungicidal activity of Germ Control24 Silver Formula Product was tested against the following organisms Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC# 9533 – (Athlete's Foot Fungus) AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions Fungicidal AOAC Testing Final Result Fungicidal in less than 10 minutes. According to AOAC Guidelines, data supports a 10 minute kill time label claim. 11

  12. Exclusive Residual Activity Goal To determine the residual kill activity of Germ Control24 Silver Formula after application to a surface. • Germ Control24 Silver Formula was tested against the following organisms • Staphylococcus aureus ATCC #6538 • Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC #15442 • Salmonella choleraesius ATCC #10708 • The surface was tested after 1, 6 and 24 hours. • AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions Final Result After 24 hours … Germ Control24 Silver Formula still produces a bacterial kill in 2 minutes or less. 12

  13. HIV I Virus Goal: To verify the virucidal efficacy of Germ Control24 Silver Formula against HIV Product was tested against HIV1 AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions Final Result: Complete inactivation in 30 seconds Influenza A Virus Goal: To verify the virucidal efficacy of Germ Control24 Silver Formula against Influenza A Virus Product was tested against Influenza A ATCC VR-544 AOAC Protocol/GLP conditions Final Result: Complete inactivation in 10 minutes Viruses 13

  14. Goal:To verify the virucidal efficacy of Germ Control24 Silver Formula against specific viruses. Product was tested against the following viruses - Polio Type 2 - Rhino Virus - Herpes Simplex Type 1 AOAC Protocol/ GLP conditions Final Result Rhino Virus– Complete inactivationin 10 minutes Herpes Simplex Type 1– Complete inactivationin 1 minute Polio Type 2– Complete Inactivationin 10 minutes Polio, Rhino & Herpes Simplex 14
